Surroundings

At our property you can enjoy peace, birds, the cicadas, sun, shade, the large swimming pool...

Within 50 metres there is a Bistrot du Pays, L 'Authentic , ideal for lunch, dinner or a glass of wine or a coffee.

If desired, we can show you part of the region.

In the Luberon and the Vaucluse you can undertake beautiful walks and cycling tours. Information about the region and local hiking and walking trails can be found in the cottages.

Typical for the Luberon are the picturesque villages with their cozy restaurants and local markets. Well-known country markets are those on Saturdays in Apt, on Sunday in Coustellet,....

Besides the famous picturesque villages such as Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, there are also a lot of lesser known villages that are definitely worth discovering.
Caseneuve is one of them!

Radio France Blue Vaucluse recorded a documentary in Caseneuve in February 2018: you can hear interviews with, among others, Gilles Ripert (mayor), Sabine of the bistrot L'Authentique, Pascal Marcq of the Sanglier Paresseux (top restaurant mentioned in several culinary guides) , and a fascinating explanation about the village of Caseneuve (click on this line to hear the audio).

At 500m from the gites, in the center of Caseneuve, is also the renowned restaurant 'Le Sanglier Paresseux' . You can eat very well and have a beautiful view of the Luberon valley! From the terrace you can enjoy an unforgettable sunset during dinner!

The Aloïs wine estate in the village of Caseneuve is very much worth a visit.

For culture lovers there are several festivals in the area during the summer months. The most important are:

Caseneuve
Roc d'Antheron
Le Sanglier Paresseux
